SEASON ; Early Summer
TEMPERATURE ; 20-30 Degrees Celcius
WEATHER ; As Summer finally arrives in our lands, the entire forests and mountains seem to have changed. The trees grow tall and broad, the undergrowth thick and lush, and the air is beautifully warm, but sometimes with just a hint of spring's cool breeze. Showers of rain vary, storms seem to hold themselves back as the warm air attracts more mosquitoes and insects, as well as prey and new life.
PREY ; Plenty.
WATER ; The rivers and lakes seem to rise and sink back down with each day. Their color of blue shines vividly in contrast with the dark greens of the forest, and the water is wonderfully warm and comforting.

As soon as we get more members, there will definitely be a wonderful spotlight set up for one of them.This will contain the username, custom avatar, character names, Date of joining, a little description, and whatever links or little message they wish to add.

01.17.09 Welcome to the New Year 2009 everyone! Hope you are all going to have a wonder-filled, great year. As LW is at the moment, we are defintely in need of more members. I'd like to thank Nereus and Leera for being our new members, and to Liekast and Vierra for their continuos, great activity. There is a new skin up, make sure you check it out! It's not totally done thought, I can't decide wether to keep it or not. There might be a new header image for our current skin coming. You'll see the affiliating box getting filled up even more, lots more updates and the Ipod has been fixed. To add songs, simply suggest them. That's all I'd like to announce for now. LW is still high and on the go, and it still will be forever. Have a great day, and a happy new year! [X] Raven 09.09.08. Hey, just so you know, the dates are done as MONTH- DAY - YEAR. So, I guess everybody should be back to school now, but we'll be keeping up a good activity level as soon as there are more members. Raven has started Affiliating with different sites now, because LW has opened it's wide doors. YAY! Meanwhile I'll just be checking around to make sure everything's great and in order. Imprinted, or engraved on LW's oldest mahogany, a single wide, smooth space pressed into the tree's dark, blood red wood. It is a set of words, formed into the rules of the land. Laws, both old and new are stated on this, laws, that if be broken by any wolf will result in their banish, or they will be severly cursed. All that arrive in our land must read these laws first, and only first.
!Guidelines -x- Affiliates Here are also some guidelines provided, such as a bit about wolves, roleplaying, and many other things that will come very useful when roleplaying. It is advised that you visit and browse around the sub-boards for a while, but it is indeed an optional task. But a good place to refer to when having a question it is. ! Create ! Create your Character bios here, before you begin to roleplay. There is a simple but required form to fill out, and the code for it as well. There is a password needed to access here, found in quite an obvious place ;] . Or, if you do not wish to create a character, head on over to the Gray Valley, LW's adoption center to adopt an already-made character. Remember, be creative and absoloutely no stealing. Rules for character creation are also here, and they are a must read

ooc? Gray Valley Gray Valley is LW's adoption center. Drop off unwanted or inactive characters here, and just fill out a very simple form, and read the rules. Characters here are up for adoption unless already claimed, so members who want an already-made wolf can browse around. Sub-boards are located here; your unwanted character must be accepted first and then moved to the Adoption Sub-board, and once adopted will be accepted also and then removed to the Archives board.

Pack Ranks, Suggestions, Updates, Info. LW has two packs so far; Shadowfrost and Freezewind, but with the coming of more members more will be created. For now, the packs' information centers lie here. The Ranks of each pack, the members, are all located in their own sub-board. Suggestions are very welcome, and Updates will be found here also, quite frequently; such as arrivals of new members, births, deaths, etc. It is helpful to check out other packs other than your own once in a while. More detailed information and pictures can be found here as well.
M, P, & A. M, P, & A are abbreviations for Mates, Pups, and Apprentices. Travel to this board to look for a Mate, Pup, or Apprentice. Both owners of the characters must agree to becoming Mates, having Pups, or recieving/becoming an apprentice. Decide on how many pups they will have, as well as the fur color, appearance, gender, etc. Use the sub-boards.

. Freezewind Camp The main camp is almost like a wide, overly large hole in the ground, expanding about 12 metres in length and width. The sides are lined with crags that stick out in different patterns. The floor is about the area of a few oak trees, and is covered with smooth sand. Little bits of stone lodged into the wall supply good pawholds, and Freezewind Members can jump from rock to rock to reach any place. Tufts of grass grow here and there, and dens have been dug out on the hardened dirt walls, right above the crags. Moss grows pretty wildly around the rocks. It is quite tricky for enimies to enter.The Alpha's den is on a larger crag, suspended a few metres off the ground, with stone steps leading down to the sandy floor.

Lake Cystal This is the main source of Freezewind's water. The lake is unbelievably clear and refreshingly cold. It is an average-sized lake, but hundreds of reeds, grass and ferns growing around the shore make it seem much larger. The water is shallow, the deepest part up to an alpha's shoulder, and it hardly gets any deeper, even during flooding. Rocks are scattered on the sandy bottom. However, crabs have made their homes here, so it is wise to be careful of swollen paws from their pincers. A good, relaxing soak or swim is welcome on any hot day in Lake Cystal, and so is a cool drink, or just splashing around with others.

Rabbit Mounds The Rabbit mound is perhaps the best hunting grounds in all of LW. It is nothing but two large meadows beside eachother, rising into small hills of smooth, cool green grass. Holes and dens are scattered everywhere: rabbits live throughout the whole meadow. Berries are plenty, so that most of the rabbits are fat but still very fast. Pack Members are lean and fast from chasing these rabbits; it always provides to be a good, quick meal. Shady trees also allow plenty of different herbs and plants to grow below them, making this also a good place to gather herbs.

Whiteclaw Falls Whiteclaw Falls is named after a very bold and loyal wolf who died there. Legends swirl admist the cold mist around it and interwine with the cold, brisk rainwater that tumbles down from a good hieght. It is quite close to the Camp, and the water is pretty clear. There are no rapids, or high currents but jagged rocks like to lean out from misty places. A slim river carries the water to the rest of the territory. It is a good place to hunt, as many other animals come here for drinking water. Wolves like to give themselves a simple "bath" in the damp mist that surrounds the falls and maybe even go out onto the Stepping Stones.
The Northern Part of LW. Here Cliffs and Crags rise everywhere, as if they are the earth's fingers. Clumps of Bracken and dark ferns creep around, as well as the vines that densly coat the bottoms of the cliffs. The stone is hard, and feels solid under one's paws but they are known to suddenly dislodge and send many toward their deaths. However, mice and voles enjoy this terrain, as several streams trickle through it and herbs and medicines are strangely plentiful here. The North also carries a deadly, but serene beauty to it. Cliff Areas, Grey Pine, Eagle Oaks.

This is the Eastern part of LW. It's mostly forest, with some small meadows scattered like seeds throughout the immense canopy of trees. Decidous and Coniferous trees seem to share this space, although there seem to be more of oaks, etc than pines. The undergrowth is lush, and dense in most areas, and there are few rivers, mostly little, stagnant pools of water. Ferns are everywhere, and vines string themselves from the ground to the trees. Sometimes you'll find a few deer, but most of the time hares and large birds wander in the forest. Rogues or loners often choose to raise their young here. Forest Areas, Grazing Meadows, Red Rush Stream
The Southern parts of LW. Here, it is perhaps the best place for hunting. It is nothing but around 50 acres of lush, grassy meadows and very low hills. The grass is tallest to the tallest alpha's shoulder, acting as a wonderful camouflage for a wolf to stalk the many deer that wander here to graze. Trees that are short but with wide canopies grow here: berry bushes line the edges or the hills, where large hares and peasants thrive on the mulberries and blackberries that grow there. There is also a very interesting thread here, that you should really, really read. Grassy Areas, Thief's Creek, Peasant's Meadow.
The Western parts of LW. Here it's rather a mix of different terrains, and heights. Around the edges a very long but thin round of forest grows, only spreading their branches to the river that travels inside the border. Hills, and grassy meadows, along with tall cliffs potruding from the ground stand in the middle of the Western Terrain, all surrounded by small streams, rivers, and lots of ponds and pools, all different sizes. Water is a major thing here, as there is more than enough. Wolves that enjoy fishing like to come here, as well as stay in the extremely popular Ember Falls. Main Areas, Fish Pool, Ember Falls
. ShadowFrost Camp This is where the Shadowfrost Camp lies, just a bit from the heart of their territory. It is a large, oval shaped clearing of flat green grass, surrounded by lots of ferns, brambles, lichen, and other undergrowth. Some smaller trees grow around the edges as well, their leafy branches hanging over the camp clearing. A short river trickles by a a few metres from the main camp. There is a small crag rising at one end, and a river has shaped a cave inside it, thousands of ears ago. The cave is roomy, and the pack sleeps inside it. It's a good shelter, warm, and layered with soft moss. There is another smaller cave inside the main cave, where the Healer lives, and piles of prey are dropped at the other end of the clearing, between some brambles. Punishment for a wolf, would be for instance not to sleep in the cave with others.
Devil's Oak Devil's Oak- perhaps the most popular hunting place for ShadowFrost members. It is around a 5 acre place, mostly occupied by low hills and a good amount of trees, mostly non-coniferous. Rabbits make their homes in the hills, and the grass is long and soft, providing good cover. A huge, brown oak stands proud in the center of the highest hill, it's branches reaching to a great length. During a storm, one of the largest branches cracked and fell, now lying across a six-metre wide stream, acting as an useful bridge. Deer come here often, but only staying in the protective shadows of the trees, only venturing out rarely to munch more grass.

Misted Shroud Up in the rocky reach, you must travel far out to the edges of ShadowFrost borders, though it still counts as their territory. It is a huge rocky ditch, about a metre deep, but whoever falls doesn't survive because at the bottom are sharp, dangerous rock. One can make a safe journey down, but only ShadowFrost members know the secret way down through a small deer-track, for although rock reside at the bottom, strange plants make their homes between the rocks. Eagles live in the cliffs, and ground-nesting birds live in the rocks surrounding it. It's very misty, and has a dark, mysterious, forboding feeling. Even so, ShadowFrost wolves like a challenge and show no fear, and go down to hunt the eagles and the birds.

Red River The Red River runs straight from one side of ShadowFrost to the other, a long, winding, glittering silver-scaled snake. It is 2 metres deep and 7 metres in width, which can make it very dangerous to try and cross for it has swift currents which can easily drag a wolf under. Reed grow near the banks where birds can hide, and it is a popular place for relaxation. The strange thing is, though, there is no fish, and also during dawn and night the water turns a deep blood red, like corpses had been dumped in the waters and their blood seeped into the waters. In the daytime, though, it is a perfect silvery colour, clear and crisp. Many drink from it in the morning, but none are brave enough to frink from the bloody-coloured water at night.

This is a good place to search if you can't find your old thread.
